Air conditioning and Antiques

Our house has two heat pumps - one for the downstairs and another for the upstairs. The upstairs heat pump has been out of commission for a few weeks now and we are waiting for the new unit to be delivered and our friend to install it. The downstairs unit is working on overload trying to keep up with the 90 degree plus summer weather. So instead of baking in the oven we call our home, we decided to take advantage of the cold AC in my car and do some antique shopping in Mechanicsville and Hanover. Will, my husband, picked up an original Pac Man board game. Its not the one that I remember my older sister having when I was a kid. That one had a Pac Man that gobbled marbles. The one he found is just the board and some cards but it is pretty cool just the same. I picked up some old Richmond magazines from '79-'81. And although we didn't buy the gold frame, we couldn't pass up a perfect photo op!

  1. You're so lucky to have someone who loves antiquing. Michael usually just whines about how bored he is.

  2. No whining from Will. He loves it! Its our go-to activity when nothing else is planned on a Saturday. Next time you come down to visit Jamie let me know and we can all go antiquing!
